In honor of National Clam Day on March 31, we’re dishing about this delicious seafood. Also known as mollusks, clams are popular for their flavor, versatility and high nutritional value. One 3-ounce serving of clams provides about two-thirds of the daily amount of iron needed to fight fatigue and fuel your body for the day. Clams are also a complete protein, which allows your muscles to build and repair themselves regularly. Vitamin B12, which helps maintain nerve function, is also found in clams.
