Happy National Seafood Month!
Around here, we have balloons flying and corks popping to celebrate! So why celebrate seafood? Well, it’s good for you! Seafood is packed with nutrients, such as omega-3s and minerals like selenium, zinc, iodine, and iron. Remember: The Dietary Guidelines for Americans recommends including seafood in your diet 2 to 3 times weekly, for the maximum nutritional benefit. In addition to being nutritious, it’s also worth mentioning the crave-worthy flavors of seafood. From savory salmon to mild white fish to sweet shellfish, there’s a seafood variety for every taste and preference. Seafood is also an incredibly versatile ingredient, due to its quick cook time and ease of preparation.
