Happy December, seafoodies! This month, we’ve decided to switch up our meal plan a bit. Instead of sharing a collection of seafood dishes for the whole month, we’ve created a menu for one grand meal: The Feast of the Seven Fishes.
The Feast of the Seven Fishes is an Italian tradition that typically takes place on Christmas Eve. Traditionally, the Feast calls for seven seafood dishes. Our version provides plenty of options with appetizers, a salad and three main dishes. Your friends and family will notice the extra effort and the Instagram-worthy pageantry of the Feast of the Seven Fishes!
To start our meal to remember, we’ve chosen three scrumptious seafood small bites: our delectable Smoked Salmon Deviled Eggs, our craveable Crab Salad Stuffed Wonton Cups and The Speckled Palate’s terrific Tuna Pesto Crostini.
For our salad course, we’ve selected Mutt & Chops’ warm Pan-Seared Salmon and Arugula Salad. This savory plate of greens is simple in flavor and easy-to-make, so it’s the perfect transition between your appetizers and entrées.
Now, drumroll please for the main course! Here, you’ll start with Floating Kitchen’s oh-so-creamy Scallops and Mushrooms topped with a heavenly white wine sauce. Next, you’ll enjoy our creamy One-Pot Clam Chowder – with the number of courses in this feast, this one-pot recipe helps keep your dishes from piling up. And, last but certainly not least, we finish our seafood journey with A Little and a Lot’s festive, Italian-inspired Spinach Pasta with Simple Baked Cod and Agrodolce.
The Feast of the Seven Fishes is a unique holiday tradition, and we hope you enjoy savoring this one-of-a-kind seafood experience with your family and friends. As our Italian friends say, Mangia! Mangia!
