Thanksgiving is unquestionably a “food” holiday. While the big bird takes the stage on many tables, let’s make seafood the star of the side dishes this year! Seafood pairs extremely well with Thanksgiving sides like green beans, potatoes, Brussels sprouts and rice.
Start Thursday the 22nd with one of our very favorite traditions: a breakfast casserole paired with the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. We are currently loving fANNEtastic Food’s Smoked Salmon & Vegetable Egg Casserole. It’s easy to throw together and it won’t feel too heavy ahead of the big afternoon meal. It’s also a great way to use up any extra veggies you may have after preparing your other side dishes.
When it comes to sides for the main event, we recommend A Well-Seasoned Life’s Shrimp and Grits Dressing. It takes everything we love about shrimp and grits and combines it with dressing, for a dish we’re sure will be a new favorite in your spread for many Thanksgivings to come.
If you’re looking for a lighter side dish option, you can’t beat Magnolia Days’ Grilled Salmon Salad. Not only is it loaded with veggies and topped with the most-delectable citrusy wine dressing, it can be made in advance, which is always a plus around this time of year.
Be sure to check out all of our seafood side selections below. We hope you enjoy!
