Outdoor-Friendly Seafood Dishes for Your Next Picnic

We know we keep talking about it, but we are just so happy it’s finally spring. The beautiful weather is serving up so much seafood inspiration, and this post aims to follow suit. One of the things we like to remind seafood lovers of as we get further into the year is to not be afraid of bringing seafood with you on your outdoor adventures. As long as you keep your seafood on ice and at a safe temperature, like you would any other dish, you’ll be just fine.

Whether you’re headed to a picnic, sporting event or backyard potluck, you’ll be on the go more and more as the season rolls along. With that in mind, we thought we’d make a list of the best easy-to-make, easy-to-take meals for you to have on hand. Even if you’re just enjoying a little lunch on your patio, you’ll be glad to have these outdoor-friendly recipes at the ready.

First things first: Keep things simple. Pack your cooler with veggies, fruits and one of our seafood picks for a quick picnic spread that’s sure to please. And, don’t forget the ice packs to keep your picnic foods cold. Our favorite new find has got to be the shrimp-tastic pasta salad recipe from I Wash You Dry, but don’t just take our word for it!
