How to Build a Stunning Seacuterie Board in Minutes!

Hi there, Seafoodies!

If you’ve spent any time scrolling through social media in the past year, you’ve undoubtedly been mesmerized by the charcuterie board phenomenon that’s taken over the foodie world! Those stunning arrangements of cured meats, artisanal cheeses and colorful accompaniments seem to have everyone reaching for their cameras before their forks! Well, Seafoodies, we’ve put together our splash-worthy spin on this trend with a “Seacuterie Board”—that we think is even tastier (and better for you) than the original!

While we love a good meat and cheese board (who doesn’t?), we’re especially excited about this oceanic twist that puts our favorite protein front and center. Get creative by folding your smoked salmon into a stunning display of roses, and serve your choice of creamy seafood dip swirled into a beautiful ceramic bowl—all arranged alongside briny capers, mini bagels, crackers, veggies, fruit, fresh herbs and an array of cheeses.

Want to double down on the latest craze? Add an assortment of tinned fish straight from the can—leaving their gorgeous packaging on display. Take our word for it—beautiful tins of sardines, anchovies and mackerel are having their own major moment!

We tested a bunch of ingredient combinations before coming up with this hands-down delectable recipe mix, but there are SO MANY ways to build your platter. Seacuterie boards are incredibly versatile and can be customized for any occasion from casual backyard get-togethers to more elegant dinner parties. They’re perfect for everything from hot summer evenings when turning on the oven is not an option or when you just want an appetizer to impress guests without spending hours in the kitchen. You can even throw one together for a quick dinner, brunch or filling snack.

It wouldn’t be a real Dish on Fish recipe if we didn’t consider health benefits, as well. Beyond their eye-catching appeal, these boards pack a whole lot of nutrition onto one plate. You’ll get all the complete protein from seafood but with significantly less saturated fat than if you were adding traditional cured meats. Plus those all-important omega-3 fatty acids, iron, zinc and vitamins D and B make seafood an unbeatable choice! What an effortless (and beautiful!) way to work toward those 2-3 weekly servings of seafood as recommended by the Dietary Guidelines for Americans while indulging in something that feels thoroughly luxurious.

Be sure to tag us on social media when you post your own Seacuterie masterpiece. We can’t wait to see what you come up with!
