Festive Seafood Recipes for Holiday Parties

Happy December, Seafoodies!

Hooray, it’s the holidays! After missing out on celebrations last year, we’re excited to party like pescatarians again and share some delicious seafood with family and friends!

If you’re throwing a party this month, check out our December Meal Plan for scrumptious seafood dishes to make your gatherings both mouthwatering and memorable. These recipes are everything we’re looking for in a holiday menu: festive, foolproof and full of flavor. As an added bonus, many can be prepared quickly (or even ahead of time!) so you can enjoy every minute with your guests. Now, that’s an entertaining win!

Serving seafood this time of year is a no-brainer because it’s so easy to prepare, makes any occasion special and provides the important nutrients we need to power through this fun-filled season. As the holidays kick into high gear, you’ll appreciate having these party-ready recipes on hand!

If you’re hosting a holiday brunch, we’ve got two awesome options to consider: savory crab and egg muffins, and a bagel-inspired casserole topped with smoked salmon and capers. Add these  to your holiday buffet and prepare for the recipe requests to roll in!

For a light midday bite, we love this tuna salad dip served with chips or baguette slices—it’s perfectly seasoned and offers plenty of fresh crunch! And on a cold December afternoon, a piping-hot bowl of cod and potato soup will hit the spot! Delicious and satisfying, it makes a healthy, hearty option for a quick family lunch or to serve potluck-style.

Once the sun goes down, the pescatarian party really gets going! We’re cooking up some seafood that’s dressed to impress: oysters on the half-shell with honey and Parmesan, char-grilled until bubbly and golden-brown, a show-stopping shrimp cocktail wreath that will be the centerpiece of your buffet, perfectly seared sea scallops (pat dry!) and creamy pasta with a touch of garlic and lobster tails broiled with a lip-smacking lemon-garlic butter. And, if you’re hosting a Hanukkah gathering, we love pairing salmon with latkes. Try our Easy Air Fryer Salmon or Spicy Sheet-Pan Salmon for two easy recipes that let you focus on frying up the potato pancakes.

Let’s get cooking!
